About John Jankiewicz

Ask JohnWhen I was young, I allready made jewelry out of odd objects like thumbnails. I sold these pieces of jewelry sitting on a carpet in parks in Amsterdam..
At the age of 16 I traveled to Israel where I stayed at an Kibbuts for a while. After a couple of years I traveled with my wife to Italy, where we began to make jewelry and leather belts, purces and wallets. We sold these on a couple of markets so we had money to eat and feed our two children. Four years later we moved back tot The Netherlands, where we came from.

Making objects out of silverwire is a hobby that growed from hobby to a little business. I am making art objects of silverwire for at least 40 years, now. My specialty is to make bikes. I allways loved bikes -real bikes- and often made bikes out of parts I find at the streets of the town we lived in. Little bikes for the kids, but allso recumbentbikes where I raced a couple of races with.

After years of making music with my accordeon at the streets of Amsterdam I desided to take a turn and go back to making jewelry again. First I bended names out of silverwire and sold them as necklaces and broches. Later on I began to make bicicles out of silverwire next to making names. The bikes I make are made from 1 peace of silverwire. That's my specialty.

On this website you can see my objects and when you like it, you can order it by sending me an e-mail.

If you're searching for a particular kind of bike or candleholder that's not at this store, contact me and I can make it for you.
